Content & Advertising Policy

These terms are pending review by legal counsel. If anything here conflicts with applicable law, the law prevails. Questions: support@do-ad.com.
DoAd screens sit in cafés, gyms, clinics and shops, in front of people who did not choose to see an ad. That raises the bar. This policy sets out what may run, what may not, and how review works.
1. Everything is reviewed
Every creative is reviewed before it can play. Review combines automated screening with human decision-making, and a human always has the final say. Nothing plays on a screen until it has been approved.
2. Not allowed
- Anything unlawful under Indian law.
- Sexual content, nudity, or content that sexualises anyone. There is no adult-venue exception — these are public screens.
- Content depicting or encouraging violence, self-harm, or cruelty.
- Hate speech or content that demeans people on the basis of religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, place of birth or similar grounds.
- Misleading claims, fake urgency, fake testimonials, or impersonation of another business or person.
- Financial promotions promising guaranteed or unrealistic returns, unregistered investment schemes, or loan offers with undisclosed terms.
- Tobacco, and any product whose advertising is prohibited by law.
- Content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Political advertising, unless expressly permitted by us in writing and compliant with applicable election law.
- Rapid flashing or strobing that could trigger a photosensitive seizure.
- Content designed to deceive the viewer about whether it is an advertisement.
3. Regulated categories
Some categories are permitted only after additional verification, and may require documentation or a licence before creatives are approved. These include alcohol, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, financial services, real estate, gambling and gaming where lawful, and educational or immigration services making outcome claims.
Where the law prohibits advertising a category outright, no amount of documentation makes it eligible.
4. Associates control their own screens
An Associate can block categories of advertising on their own screen. A blocked category will not play there regardless of budget or targeting. This is enforced by the platform when deciding what to play, not left to advertiser good behaviour.
Associates also remain responsible for their own signage content, which is subject to this same policy.
5. Technical requirements
- One image or one short video per creative.
- File type is validated by inspecting the file itself, not its extension. SVG is not accepted.
- Creatives are immutable once uploaded. To change a creative, upload a new one — it goes through review again.
- Design for a viewer several metres away, glancing for a few seconds.
6. Rejection and enforcement
We may reject a creative, remove one that is already running, or suspend an account for repeated or serious breaches. Where a creative is rejected we tell you why, so it can be fixed and resubmitted.
Removing a creative stops future plays. Plays that already happened were delivered and remain billed.
7. Reporting an ad
If you have seen something on a DoAd screen that breaches this policy, tell us at info@do-ad.com with the location of the screen and roughly when you saw it. We can identify what played on a given screen at a given time and act on it.
